Yamaha FZ SERIES :
This is the first motorcycle with 41mm front suspension released by Yamaha motors in Indian markets.Macho styled plastic resin with midship muffler and stylish visor gives aggressive look to this motorcycle.This bike is specially designed to suit Indian roads(as it is evident from monocross suspension fixed in bike and wide radial tyre (140/60-17) for better grip on road).
About Full LCD metre :
The metres in FZS are installed in a full liquid crystal display.The speedometer ,tachometre,trip metre fuel gauge and other indicators are set in optimum position to keep the field of vision clear.also engine starting signal is an example of spirit of innovation.
Technical specifications :
This is a 153 cc motorcycle with air cooled ,4stroke,SOHC ,2 valve engine.SOHC (single over head camshaft) is a design in which one camshaft is placed with in the cylinder head.SOHC design engine has less reciprocating mass than a comparable push rod design,this allows for higher engine speeds which inturn increase the power output for a given torque.The maximum power and torque of this motorcycle is ( 7500 rpm and 6000 rpm).The motorcycle has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres with lubrication type of wet sump.(wet sump is a lubricating oil management design for four stroke piston internal combustion engines)
Clutch used in these motor cycle is multiplate wet (friction engagement apparatus) with return type 5 speed trasnsmission. Ignition system used in this bike is digital CDI(Capacitor Discharge Ignition System).This type of system also filters fuel before it enters the engine which is effective.
Comfort :
The motorcycle is provided with telescopic front suspension and monocross rear suspension.Due to this type of suspensions the rider can go for longer drives even on the uneven roads without discomfort .
Road grip :
Hydraulic single disc type brake system in front wheel section and drum type brakes in rear wheel section along with wider wheel base provides strong hold on skiddy roads.

Weight of Yamaha FZ series is 135 kgs and is available in both kick start /self start option.
